Taylor Swift, the rarest pop star, is one who managed to move between the genres of country and mainstream pop culture, becoming an idol of the pop world. Swift also took on all over the world during the course of her journey. Swift shed her roots in country music like a second-skin and proved that she had the best pop sensibility in her time. Swift was the only musician/singer to take the popular zeitgeist out on the road. This was evident in her earliest hits especially the neo-tribute Tim McGraw but her second album in 2008's Fearless showed a writer discovering who she was and in the process finding an audience of mass. The album was able to have significant legs not only on the U.S. where it racked seven platinum singles due to the Top Ten hits Love Story and Belong with Me Belong with Me but throughout the world performing particularly well within the U.K. Canada and Australia. Speak Now delivered almost two years later, which consolidated the achievement and propelled Swift to the heights of stardom. Through her next three albums, Red (2012) 1989 (2004) and Reputation (2017) and Reputation, her popularity increased and she found herself in the world of pop music where it was clear that she was a part of. Even though she had slowed the production of her folklore album, and Evermore albums in the year 2020, she was nevertheless in the forefront of pop music.
