Anna Silk is the daughter of Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Ilkay Silk has been a director, actress, producer, playwright and teacher at St. Thomas University. Anna Silk's father was British, and her mother was is a Turkish Cypriot English expat. Her mother was always watching her perform in play rehearsals. When she was a kid, she played in commercials for a number of companies. Anna moved to Toronto, Ontario, for the purpose of pursuing her acting. In the decade that followed, she eventually made the move into Los Angeles. Anna came across Seth Cooperman in 2007 at an acting workshop in Los Angeles, and they were engaged in 2009. Anna changed her religion to Judaism in January 2011 and the couple renewed their vows in an Jewish wedding ceremony in Fredericton.
